“I frequently get high praises from patients. I have been practicing many years and I have learned how important a great team is.”
Dr. Jon Paul Carmichael
Doctor of Chiropractic
Bachelors of Human Biology
I was in my last term of chiropractic college performing my clinical internship treating patients, when an elderly patient stood up from the adjusting table, grasped my hands into hers, and declared that I had healing hands. I did not fully understand how profound that declaration was at the time. I had the book smarts. I knew the research regarding the effectiveness of chiropractic, and I had some experience in the student clinic where I completed my internship. The question in my mind was, “will I be able to help people?” I returned home from Los Angeles to my home state of Colorado. Being a young, energetic wide eyed doctor, I “hung my shingle” in the Lakewood-Littleton area. I opened my clinic door and hoped for the best. Thankfully, people showed up, and my practice grew rapidly. And indeed I was helping people. Not just for back pain, headaches, numbness and such, but for colitis, heart arrhythmias, infertility, severe migraines and allergies to name a few. Not in every case but certainly in enough, I found validation that I was really helping people avoid unnecessary drugs and surgery. For several years, I continued practicing as a sole practitioner until it became apparent that I needed to bring another doctor onboard. The two of us continued helping more people until eventually I had three locations and multiple doctors and staff. This was very gratifying for a long period of time until I realized I had become removed from direct patient care and that my healing hands were going unused. I downsized to one location and began solely treating patients. It was a wonderful change and my passion for patient care exploded! As a chiropractor, I specialize in corrective care as opposed to relief care that does not resolve the underlying condition. The first priority for patients is to reduce or relieve the pain, but even more importantly, the goal is to restore the highest level of function of the spine and nervous system possible. This is achieved through spinal adjustments, exercise rehabilitation and patients’ self care instruction.
On your first visit to Carmichael Chiropractic, I will explain to you how the science of chiropractic works, giving you a full evaluation and the opportunity to see if chiropractic care is right for you. If there is a good fit, we can develop a plan of chiropractic and wellness care that is specific to your condition and health goals.

Taylor Morgenstern - Chiropractic Assistant
I graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver in May of 2014 with a degree in Adult Fitness and Exercise Science. Health and wellness had been a passion of mine for some time, and I thought I would be most successful as a personal trainer. I obtained my certification in December of 2011, and was excited to start my career helping people transform into healthier versions of themselves. After working with a few clients, I found that a vast majority of people had some sort of injury that was holding them back from reaching their fitness goals. I saw that there was a step in my training that I was omitting, but couldn’t figure out what it was. I began researching different areas of study that helped with these issues and came across chiropractic. It was an area that I knew little about but most intrigued me. I read countless stories of patients who had their lives changed because of chiropractic, so I put my training on hold and entered the chiropractic world. I found Dr. Carmichael in August of 2014. Not only did I respect him for the amount of time he had spent in the field, but his countless testimonials reassured me that this was a doctor that shared my passion of helping people. I watch patients walk in and out of our office on a daily basis and am reassured that they are getting the proper care they need.
